Hello dear friends and family! Sorry for the delay in writing. Unfortunately all has changed since my last blog. Will and I were actively pursuing adoption with VOA, but after 75 years of facilitating adoptions, they closed the program due to lack of funding. Needless to say I was devastated! My heart was so full and excited, waiting with expectation for our precious gift. I struggled for a few days to wrap my head and heart around it, but God has been so merciful and given us such a peace. I am still so sad, but the peace that I feel is keeping me going and trusting that He is in control. We still need your prayers, as this journey is far from over and emotionally it is so tough at times! Here are a few prayer requests:
- We are praying about more invasive infertility treatments. Please pray for clear direction .
- We are praying about international adoption. Please pray for guidance.
- Please pray for continued strength, physically and emotionally, for Will and I. We are human and at times it is a very heavy burden in our hearts.
- 29,000 children in Somalia have died of famine in the last three months, please pray with us for that region and her beautiful people that are suffering greatly do to a very long drought.
